Matu is happy to celebrate spring : Sample sale in a green alley !

Yes ! Spring is here ! Finally ! And to celebrate we are pleased to invite you to our green alley for a sample sale!

The sample sale will take place in our green alley at 5105 des Érables Avenue, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood, Montreal, on Saturday May 14th, from 10 am to 6 pm. There will be samples, new products from our latest collection, and 50% off on defects and old collections.

Since we will be celebrating, delicious lemonade from LEMO and refreshing cold brew from PISTA will be offered. LEMO has been producing crafted syrups for over a century. It is a traditional family recipe. Each syrup is handmade from fresh lemons, oranges and grapefruit in Montreal.

Pista Café started with a guy distributing coffee on his bike for over a year. Maxime, well known for being in every event with his bike, just opened a coffee shop in Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie. Located at 500 Beaubien Est, they serve Kittel coffee, which is roasted in Montreal.

And guess what! Our friends Baltic Club will also be joining us to sell samples, maps, greeting cards and maybe some beautiful notebooks. Yay!

Let me tell you more about Baltic Club. Melanie and Brice are the two brains behind Baltic. In the duo, Melanie is the artist and Brice is the conductor as they say. I met Melanie for the first time last year. She asked me to make travel tags and leather tassels in collaboration with them. We met at Cafe 8 oz, one of my favourite coffee shops (after Pista, of course!) and that’s when Melanie and I connected instantly. It was the beginning of a amazing friendship and a great partnership.

Baltic and Matu do a lot for each other. The collaboration began with leather accessories, and continued when we decided to working together in many fields of our businesses. It started with them giving me so much advice on how to manage Matu, it continued when I introduced them to Design HAUT+FORT, and finally when we went at the One of a Kind show and sale together, and we realised that we love doing sample sales together ! We try to meet up every Wednesday - we call it "Les Bièrcredis" !

Raw Basics will also be part of the event! It is a company that offers handkerchiefs designed for men. Marie-Pier uses cute patterns to make them and it has become a very colourful line of products. It is a very nice way to stylize your outfit for a wedding or it can even be your day-to-day accessory!
